Dr. Anh Nguyen D.D.S.
Dr. Anh came to the US in 1978 with her family and settled in Kensington MD. In 1987 she graduated from Georgetown School of Dentistry and started her practice in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Determined to give her patients the best treatment possible, she continued her studies, finishing a three years course in Craniomandibular Orthodontics and Occlusion Medicine under the guidance of professor Sadao Sato and Dr Heike Kramer at the Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy in San Francisco where she is currently a member of the study club. With this approach, many otherwise surgical cases such as open bite, mandibular deviation can be treated successfully.
It also helps with obstructive sleep apnea and TMJ cases since it enlarges the arches and increase the vertical dimension of the face.
Always passionate about the artistic side of dentistry, she completed her training about biomimetic and esthetic dentistry with the masters in the field, Dr. Pascal Magne and Dr. Didier Deitschi. Biomimetic concept in dentistry is a minimum invasive technique where thinly bonded restorations not only mimic the natural beauty of the tooth but
also preserves the tooth structure and improve the longevity of the restoration.
She also took the implant continuum with Dr. Arun Garg and later on the non flap technique with Dr. Bob Lamb.
Despite the busy schedule, she still finds time to pursue her hobbies in photography, music, art collecting ,reading and walking in the woods.
She currently lives in Wheaton Maryland with her son and their dog Angli.
